What to Do En-Route

Our drivers are not obliged to go directly to your ski destination. If you want to pull over at any stage of the trip to stretch your legs or to have a cup of coffee, we will happily accommodate it.

There are several supermarkets en-route to Courchevel. If you feel peckish on your way to the resort, you can choose to buy a few snacks for the remainder of the journey from any of the supermarkets en route. Sometimes products bought at the supermarket are way cheaper than those found in the resort itself.

The ski resort consists of five villages located at five different altitudes. Each has a different view and path to the mountain.

Looking to rent skis? No problem! Order beforehand or ask the driver to make a stop at our ski rental shop in Albertville – no need to wait until you get to the resort.

Journey Altitude

The journey will take you through some very high altitudes, which can cause potential problems for some visitors.

The airport is situated at a minimum elevation of 200m, while the highest point of Courchevel village sits at 1850m. Some passengers may experience discomfort due to the change in air pressure, including nausea, headaches and dizziness

When you combine the change in air pressure with steep, serpentine roads, the journey can become intolerable for some people. If you’re feeling any discomfort, let your driver know and they’ll do their best to accommodate you.

Courchevel Ski Resort

The Courchevel ski area consists of five separate villages which were named after their various altitudes: Saint Bon, the birthplace of Courchevel (at an altitude of 1100m), Courchevel Le Praz (Courchevel 1300), Courchevel Village (Courchevel 1550m), Courchevel Moriond (Courchevel 1650) and Courchevel (Courchevel 1850).

The ski season in Courchevel starts in December and ends in late April. The snow-making systems in the resort are very impressive, with 35% of today’s skiable terrains being covered by machine-made snow.

Regardless of skill level, Courcheval has the terrain in place to suit all types.

How Much Will Your Transfer Cost?

At Alps2Alps, we aim to offer excellent value transfers to all ski resorts in the Alps. We take a transparent approach to our pricing structure. We take into consideration a number of factors when calculating our quotes. These factors include:

  • Your journey

  • The number of people travelling

  • The day and time of your travel

  • Any available discounts

When calculating fares, we start with our standard pricing scheme and then reduce it depending on the factors mentioned above. This dynamic approach means we only reduce our prices and never increase them!

The price of transfer is also affected by vehicle availability, transfer schedule, vehicle utilisation and additional costs such as road tolls and parking charges.

Midweek Transfers

You may be surprised at how much time and money you could save by travelling in the middle of the week. That means lower prices, less stress and less time spent stuck in traffic jams. We strongly recommend travelling midweek. A midweek transfer can cut your costs by up to 60%.

Alongside this, there are also discounts available for travelling off-season and off-peak.
