What to Do En-Route

You don’t have to go right to your ski resort. If you wish to stop at any stage of the trip to stretch your legs or breathe a fresh air, we will happily accommodate this.

There are some supermarkets en-route to Solden. You might get hungry on the journey; there you can find some snacks, food and other essentials. Sometimes products bought on the way to ski resort can be much cheaper comparing to those found in the resort stores.

Solden is located in the beautiful Ötztal valley. You can enjoy fantastic views of the mountains and valley below during the airport transfer. Make sure you have your camera ready!

Journey Altitude

It’s important to understand that your journey from Innsbruck to Solden will take you to a very high altitude. This may present its own potential complications.

Innsbruck airport sits at 580m, while Solden sits at an altitude of 1377m. This journey can present passengers with some mild discomfort. Such symptoms as nausea, headaches and dizziness can be the result of the change in air pressure. Young children are the next most at-risk group.

When you combine this air pressure change with steep, serpentine roads, the journey can be difficult for some. If needed, ask your driver to lower the temperature in the vehicle to help you feel more comfortable.

You can enjoy the beautiful Austrian scenery during the trip to Solden, which can be the perfect medicine for you.

Your ski pass will give you access to 142 km of skiing spread over 40 pistes and accessed via 33 chairlifts. Solden's slopes are directly connected to great glacier skiing via a number of ski lifts and gondolas called Golden Gate to the Glacier. Solden is also famous for its events – every October the resort welcomes the world's best skiers to the Ötztal Valley for the opening event of the FIS Ski World Cup.

How Much Will Your Transfer From Innsbruck to Solden Cost?

At Alps2Alps, our main goal is to offer the amazing value transfers to all ski resorts in the Alps. We like to take a transparent approach to pricing structure. We take a number of factors into consideration when calculating our prices. These include:

  • Your journey

  • The number of people travelling

  • The day and time you travel

  • Any discounts available

When calculating fares, we start with our standard price and then reduce this based on the factors mentioned above. This dynamic approach means we only ever decrease our prices – never increase them.

Pricing is also affected by vehicle availability, transfer schedule, vehicle utilisation and additional costs such as road tolls and parking charges.

Midweek Transfers

If you want to lower your costs, avoid the crowds and spend less time stuck in traffic, we recommend you to travel in the middle of the week.  You would be surprised - a midweek transfer can cut your costs by up to 60%! More discounts are available for travelling off-season and off-peak.
