Our daily itinerary and route choice may vary based on real-time conditions on the mountain. Always ask the driver about the best possible way to get to the resort.

Sometimes products bought on the way are cheaper than those found in the resort itself. Consider the option to get your travel essentials before your arrival to your destination. Cortina is nestled in one of the most beautiful and unique alpine regions in the world - The Dolomites Mountain. You will enjoy breathtaking views during your airport transfer. Get excited, take your camera out and start snapping!

Journey Altitude

It’s important to understand that your journey from Munich airport to Cortina will take you to a very high altitude. This may present its own potential complications.

Munich airport sits at 448m, while Cortina ski resort sits at an altitude of 1224m. Nausea, headaches and dizziness can be symptoms of the change in air pressure. Young children are at the most at-risk group.

When you combine such air pressure change with steep, serpentine roads, the journey can be difficult for some people. If needed, ask your driver to lower the temperature in the vehicle to help you feel more comfortable. We recommend keeping a source of peppermint scent nearby.

Cortina is nicknamed the “Queen of the Dolomites”. The incredible scenery of the Dolomites Mountains can act as the perfect medicine for you if you will feel unwell.

Cortina Ski Resort

Cortina d'Ampezzo is settled in a sunny valley in the heart of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Dolomites and is the exclusive pearl of the Dolomites. Being Italy's most stylish resort, that is also known as the Queen of the Dolomites.

Cortina is part of Dolomiti Superski, one of the world’s largest ski areas with 1,200km of slopes across 12 ski regions, accessible with a single ski pass. In addition to the skiing in Cortina d`Ampezzo itself (140km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski pass will allow you to ski and snowboard in other Dolomiti Superski ski resorts of Alta Badia, Alta Pusteria, Arabba, Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm, Civetta, Bruneck-Kronplatz, Corvara, Predazzo, San Martino di Castrozza, Marmolada, Obereggen, Val Gardena, San Vito di Cadore, Val di Fassa, Val di Fiemme and Valle Isarco. Cortina d`Ampezzo is directly linked by Ski Lift to the ski areas of Santa Cristina (Val Gardena).

This bustling mountain town became famous as the host to the 1956 Winter Olympics. Nowadays Cortina also hosts international sports events like the Alpine Ski World Cup, the Tour de Ski, ice hockey and curling championships, and Cortina Winter Polo.
