Chamrousse ski resort is made up of three small villages: of Le Recoin, Roche-Béranger and Bachat-Bouloud, which are linked by ski slopes and forest tracks. The ski resort Chamrousse is located in the Arrondissement of Grenoble, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, Isere region. The ski area of Chamrousse is divided into two parts – Chamrousse 1650 and Chamrousse 1750-1700. There are two levels of pistes: Chamrousse 1650 is the place for experienced skiers (off-piste skiing is available here), while both Chamrousse 1750 and Chamrousse 1700 offer a wide range of pistes for beginners and intermediate guests.

The orientation of pistes ensures boarding and skiing straight down to the resort. Chamrousse is friendly to snowboarders – there are a snowpark and wide selection of freeride options. Ski schools are available here. If you enjoy French alpine sports enthusiast’s company – this resort is for you. In general, this is a pretty calm resort, although those seeking a drink or two will find something enjoyable in between 25 bars and restaurants. The resort of Chamrousse lies at an elevation of 1,650m, with a max vertical of 830m and its highest lift going as far as 2,250m. There are a total of 35 pistes in the immediate vicinity of the resort, served by 26 ski lifts. There are 35 pistes (77km) – 15 red, 15 blue, 6 black and 8 green. Around 20% of the slopes are ideal for beginners, 34% serve the needs of intermediates, 32% are for advanced users and the remaining 15% is far more challenging.

Of course, it’s important to remember that Chamrousse ski resort is offering pistes with different levels of difficulties.
