Situated 1800 above sea level, Saas-fee, also known as The Pearl of the Alps, is surrounded by the highest Swiss mountains. Being a “car-less” village means tourists can wander around and appreciate the freshness of the mountains.

Different types of activities are available for the summer and winter seasons, where everyone is welcomed, including family. Some highlights of the ski resorts activities include the Ice Pavilion, where you can have a view of the interior of the glacier. A rope park with bridges and aerial cables and a highest revolving restaurant located at 3,500 metres above sea level, where you can eat while enjoying the mountain views.

The Alps ski resort has over a hundred kilometres of pistes and specific areas for snowboarding and tobogganing, and it’s also family-friendly. Saas-Fee skiing: an overview

Saas-Fee has ski slopes adaptable for different difficulty levels. Beginners can find spacious pistes ideal for learning, while the more advanced skiers have plenty of terrain to discover. Snowsport schools are available for all ages. To name a few, “ESKIMOS Ski and Snowboard School” and “Swiss Ski School Saas-Fee,” are both available in the winter and summer seasons.

For those who are experiencing ski activities for the first time and do not yet have the equipment, Manu ski and snowboard rental are available in various sports shops. Everyone can depend on a total of 23 ski lifts giving you access to the ski areas. Some ski lifts can be closed depending on the season.

Non-skiing activities in Saas-Fee

Saas-fees has a wide range of non-skiing activities. Some activities include ice sports, torchlight tours, cross-country skiing, and sledging. To have a magical experience, try the torchlight tour. Many routes are available, and you can get the torches in the tourist offices.

If you enjoy sports, ice stick shooting is an idea. Perfect for groups and families. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can go ahead and try the zip lines surrounded by snow-covered trees. Training is provided. It’s available from December to April, and the price depends on how many people are participating.

Things to do in Saas-Fee village

If you’re looking for some relaxation time in Saas-Fee village, the Aqua Allalin is a must-go. This wellness center includes a sauna, hot stone treatments, and outdoor seating where you can appreciate the valley views. There is also a designated pool for children, making the place family-friendly.

The Saaser Museum is an indoor activity to consider as well. It was built in 1732, and you can get to know the local culture. Many mountain railway tours and gastronomical experiences are available. You can get more details about the tour options on the official website.

Family-friendly and kids’ fun in Saas-Fee

If you’re looking for fun activities for the kids, Kians’ Adventure Land is a must. Where the parents can relax while the kids have a blast. Other activities for the little ones include movies inside the igloo, carousels, playgrounds, skidoos, and slopes.

Sledging is another option for the whole family. It’s a 6km run, and the sleds are available to hire on the spot. Toboggan Run also welcomes the whole family. It’s open daily, and prices vary depending on the age.

The “Après-Ski Bar Zur Mühle” is one of them; it’s open daily, there’s outdoor seating, and the mountain views make it worth the visit. The “Black Bull Snowbar” is a place you can visit if you like to dance and sing.
