Corvara Dolomiti SuperSki Resort & Transfer Guide

Corvara Dolomiti SuperSki – more commonly referred to as simply Corvara – is known far and wide as pure ski paradise for intermediates. Despite being surrounded by some of the most dramatic landscapes on Earth, the ski scene in and around Corvara is a far gentler affair. But don’t for a minute let yourself think this means a resort that doesn’t take the ski scene seriously. Quite to the contrary, as Corvara is by a wide margin the most cosmopolitan and perhaps enjoyable in the entire Alta Badia valley.

Ski Resort Location

Sunny in the summer and majestic throughout the winter, the Alta Badia valley is surrounded by green forests and gentle slopes. Along with being comparatively easy to get to, the ski scene in Corvara is brilliantly immersive. The reason being that the slopes are so inviting, enjoyable and easy to negotiate that all skill levels are guaranteed an outstanding experience. That said, it’s perhaps not the ideal place for boarders – many rental shops in and around the resort don’t even bother hiring them out.

Back in town, there’s an incredibly rich and extravagant dining scene in Corvara, with no less than three Michelin Star restaurants to try out. Apres-ski is taken very seriously and the local dining scene focuses primarily on South Tyrolean and Italian cuisine with local Ladin specialities. It’s a delightfully extravagant affair and unashamedly so – don’t miss the famed "Tea Dance" party at the Post Hotel for the unique opportunity to go dancing in your ski boots!
