Opened in 1974, this modern ski resort was designed as a giant dam and is the crossing point for a lot of pistes. La Plagne Bellecote also is the starting point for the Bellecote glacier. La Plagne is nestled in the Tarantaise valley and consists of 11 separate villages. Besides being part of the La Plagne ski area, La Plagne Bellecote also shares the largest ski area in Europe -The Paradiski ski area. Ski Resort Location
La Plagne Bellecote is located at the center of La Plagne ski area, Savoie region of the French Alps.You can get the free bus from La Plagne Bellecote to La Plagne Centre or La Plagne 1800. La Plagne Bellecote is housing the resort's Freestyle stadium, a skating rink and outdoor heated swimmimg pool (ski pass holders can use it for free). La Plagne Bellecote has many other different activities such as: snowpark, half pipe, snowshoeing, winter hiking, dogsledding and lighted night skiing.
Called as La Plagne’s “DAM”, the accommodation in La Plagne Bellecote consists of two large wooden modern holiday apartment complexes, which are built in the shape of a large wave. A giant U-shape apartment blocks rise up like a wall at the bottom of the piste. All the apartments are facing the mountains and the slopes, and have the direct access to ski lifts. Besides great ski access, the resort has to offer multiple restaurants, cafes, bars, a nightclub, a cinema and a sports centre.
