La Tania is a small and friendly French Ski resort. At the end of the 1980`s, it was decided to create a ski resort. As an architect was summoned very talented Jacques Labro, the Silver medalist in 1968 for the resort Avoriaz. He worked very hard to keep this beautiful location by designing perfectly integrated wooden constructions. La Tania is a pedestrian resort.
On the December 22nd, 1990, new resort was opened. One year later, La Tania was designated as an Olympic village for the Winter Olympics in Albertville in 1992. La Tania is part of the Three Valleys ski area and provides easy access to other resorts.
La Tania is located in the Courchevel area of Les Trois Vallees and the appropriate ski lift pass allows you to ski or snowboard in the other ski resorts of Courchevel, Les Menuires, Meribel, Saint Martin de Belleville and Val Thorens. La Tania is popular among free riders, because of its central location – halfway between Courchevel and Meribel. It never runs out of snow and often gives you an opportunity to slide down a fresh powder. From the top point of La Tania, you can appreciate the beauty of Massif de la Vanoise and Mont Blanc.
The resort has a one-star Michelin restaurant - Le Farçon. Accommodation in La Tania is cheaper than in the other Three Valleys resorts. After skiing and snowboarding, you can choose something from other activities like:
