What does “A2A ski rental service” mean?

Traditionally, renting ski equipment means driving or getting public transport to a rental store. Then you have to find a parking spot, queue in long line ups, fill out paperwork, and do it all again if there are any issues with your skis or snowboard and to return your ski equipment at the end of your holiday.

With A2A Online Ski Rentals you can forget about all of that!

We meet our A2A Ski Transfer customers upon arrival in Geneva, Chambery, Grenoble or Lyon Airports and arrange a boot fitting in our ski shops en route to your ski resort. When it’s time for you to fly home, you return your equipment directly to the coach driver on your return transfer - no need to worry about finding time to go to the ski shop.

Where is the A2A ski hire shop located? How long will it take to get there?

Our ski rental stores are conveniently located on the most direct routes to the main ski resorts. Usually, it will take 30 minutes to visit our stores and collect your equipment.

What is the cost of hiring ski equipment with Alps2Alps?

The cost of hiring ski equipment starts from just €5 per day. The prices vary depending on the specific equipment that you choose, but you can rent premium ski equipment for a competitive price! Even better, the sixth day of rental is free and children ski for free with any full paying adult!

Can you rent skis only?

You can rent any ski equipment that you need from Alps2Alps. Whether you need to rent skis, helmets or ski boots, you can rent our equipment as and when you need it. To make airport journeys simple, most customers choose to rent the full kit from us.

What does ‘Kids Ski Free’ mean?

If you have booked a ski transfer with Alps2Alps and ski hire for at least one adult through us, all of the kids (up to 13 years old) in your group can rent skis free of charge!

Does A2A ski and boot hire include all days of my skiing holiday, as well as transfer days?

If your airport transfer time is after 11 am, we do not count the first day as a rental day. If you leave the ski resort before 3 pm on your final day, the last rental day is also free. This is shown in our price calculator, so you can see the final ski hire prices on the online booking form when using your transfer reference number.

How do I reserve ski equipment?

There are two options to secure your ski hire:

1) Online at A2A website – where our state-of-the-art reservation system is both easy to use and secure

2) Ask your transfer driver to bring you to our ski rental shop, which is situated on the way to your ski resort and choose equipment right there

How do I return my ski and boot hire at the end of my holiday?

Your driver will collect it on your return transfer to Grenoble, Geneva, Lyon or Chambery Airport.

What hours is your ski rental service available?

Our ski hire is open 24/7 for all our A2A customers, with customer service on hand to help with any changes or problems. Night or day, midweek, weekend and bank holidays, you are always welcome!

How do I pay for my ski equipment?

You can pay for your ski rental with a credit card on our website at the moment of reservation. If you prefer, you can pay for your skis and boots on arrival by card or by cash in our ski-rental shop. For this option choose “Pay at Collection” during the online ski rental booking process.

If I book ski rental for a group of people, can we split the payments between each person in the group booking?

If you want to split the payment between a group booking, choose the “Pay at Collection” option and pay in-store at our ski rental shop. Each skier will be able to pay separately for their own ski equipment.

I've made a booking online and I would like to add more ski equipment, can I do this?

As long as the payment has not been made, you can add as many items as you wish online.

Will my rental equipment be fully serviced before I receive it?

Absolutely. Every ski and snowboard that we rent out receives a full tune and wax to ensure you receive the equipment in the best state possible so show off your best skills on the slopes. Ski boots and helmets are dried, sanitised and deodorised after every use.

So, your ski equipment will be the same as renting directly at the ski shop, only cheaper :).

I have my own skiing equipment, can you service my skis and snowboards?

We would be happy to service and repair your skis and snowboards. We have our own workshop and a team of technicians. Just bring your ski equipment to the shop and we'll have it back to you the same day or overnight.

Do you offer long-term ski storage service for my own equipment?

Yes, we do offer ski-depot service.

Our ski storage is the most affordable and convenient storage option in the Alps. Save hauling bulky ski equipment on a flight or coach journey, and securely store your skis and boots, snowboards, helmets and poles until your next ski holidays.

Can I change my ski equipment during my stay?

If you want to upgrade your ski equipment during your holiday you might have to pay extra fees at the time of reservation or at the ski shop.

Just give us a call or e-mail us and we will upgrade your equipment as many times as you wish, with no extra delivery cost.

Do you provide equipment insurance in your ski rental service?

General wear and tear or minor damage to ski equipment are fully covered - this is included in the cost of hiring ski equipment so you won’t receive an extra charge. This includes accidental damage to ski equipment, such as top sheet scratches, core shots while skiing etc. If the equipment is lost or stolen you will have to pay an excess and a police report will be required.

What happens in the unlikely event ski equipment is lost or stolen?

The best thing to do is call us and we'll help you deal with the problem. If you want to claim on your insurance or hope for the equipment to be returned, you must contact the police and request a police report. Your police report should be submitted to Alps2Alps within 24 hours.

What is your cancellation policy?

Any cancellations or changes to your booking must be confirmed by email to It is down to you to make sure we have received your email.

If you give us 48 hours notice prior to the first day of your rental start date and there's no charge. If you choose to cancel within 48 hours of your delivery time, we reserve the right to charge 10% of the total booking value.
