What does “A2A ski rental service” actually mean?

Traditionally renting requires driving or getting transport to a rental store, finding a park, lining up, filling out paperwork, and returning to the store with any issues and to return your equipment.

With A2A Ski Rentals you can forget about all of that!

We conveniently meet our A2A Transfers customers upon arrival in Geneva, Chambery, Grenoble or Lyon airports and bring them for boots fitting to our ski-shop on the way to your ski resort.

Equipment's returning processes directly to the transfer driver on a return transfer. No need to go to the ski-shop at all.

Where the rental shop is situated? Do we need to turn from the road and how far and how long will it take to get there?

Our ski rental shops are situated right on the way to all main ski resorts, and usually it is costs ~30minutes to visit our shop and get equipment.

Why should I rent from you?

What does it means “kids ski free”?

If you have a transfer booking with Alps2Alps and at least one adult rent ski equipment in our shops, all the kids (up to 13 years old) in your group can rent skis free of charge!

Will the rental period be counted for all days including transfer days?

If your airport pick up time at arriving is later than 11am , we will not count first day as rental day. If you leaving resort before 3pm the last day of rental is also for free. This is implented in our price calculator, so you can check it during online booking form using your transfer reference number.

How do I make a reservation?

There are two options:

1) online at A2A website – where our state-of-the-art reservation system is both easy to use and secure.

2) Ask your transfer driver to bring you to our ski rental shop, which is situated on the way to your ski resort and choose equipment right there.

How do I go about returning my equipment?

Your driver will collect it on your return transfer to Geneva, Chambery, Grenoble or Lyon airport.

What hours your ski rental service is available?

We are open 24/7 for all our A2A customers. English speaking customer service is on call to help with any changes and problems. Day or night, midweek or weekend, banking holidays - you are always welcome!

How do I pay for my equipment?

You can pay online through the website with your credit card at the moment of reservation or you can pay on arrival day by card or by cash in our ski-rental shop. For this option choose “Pay at Collection” during the online ski rental booking process.

I would like to make booking on my name for my group members. Do you allow to split payments between the group of people?

If you prefer to split the payment you ought to choose “Pay at Collection” option to pay at our ski-rental shop. In that case each person will receive separate bill according to the initial reservation.

I've made a booking online and I would like to add more equipment. How can I do it?

As long as the payment has not been made, you can add as many items as you wish.

Will my rental equipment be fully serviced before I receive it?

Absolutely. The skis and snowboards receive a full tune and wax ensuring you receive the equipment in the best state possible for that specific week. Boots and helmets are dried, sanitized and deodorized after each use.

So your equipment will be the same as if you rent directly at the ski shop, but cheaper :).

I have my own equipment, can you service my skis and snowboards?

We would be happy to service and repair your skis and snowboards. We have our own workshop and a team of technicians. Just bring your equipment to the shop and we'll have your equipment back to you the same day or overnight.

Do you offer long-term ski storage service for my own equipment?

Yes, we do offer ski-depot service.

Our ski storage is the most affordable and most convenient storage option in the Alps. Store everything from your skis and boots, snowboards and poles till your next ski holidays.

Can I change my equipment during my stay?

If you want to upgrade the line of your equipment, the extra fees will be to pay on the spot.

Just give us a call or e-mail us and we will come back – as many times as you need us to at no extra cost for delivery.

What if we break something or we need to change something whilst we are out skiing?

We have a partners in all ski resorts. Please check our list of service points. If this happens all you have to do is to email us to:  ski-rental@alps2alps.com or  call +33 (0) 9 70 40 31 15 or +44 (0) 20 3290 4046 and we'll arrange a time and the nearest place to your accommodation to come and deal with the problem!

Do you provide any form of insurance for the equipment?

General wear and tear and minor damage is fully covered. The cost of this has already been included in the package cost, so there is no extra charge. It covers accidental damage to equipment (top sheet scratches, core shots while skiing etc). But there is an excess payable if the equipment is lost or stolen. A police report will be required.

What happens in the unlikely event equipment is lost or stolen?

The best thing to do is call us and we'll help you deal with the problem. Contacting the Police is essential if you wish to claim on insurance or hope for the equipment to be returned. The original declaration established by the police station or gendarmerie must be transmitted to Alps2Alps Ski Rental within 24 hours following the declaration.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations and amendments must be confirmed in writing via e-mail to ski-rental@alps2alps.com and it is your responsibility to ensure that we have received it.

Give us 48 hours notice prior to the first day of your rental contract start date and there's no charge. If you choose to cancel within 48 hours of your delivery time, we reserve the right to charge 10% of total booking value.
