Schladming Resort & Transfer Guide

Schladming is the heart of the amazing Schladming Dachstein ski region. The Schladming 4 Mountain Ski Area, unites the famous ski mountains of Hauser Kaibling–Planai Hochwurzen and the Reiteralm and the larger area includes nine mountains. A World Cup Downhill was first staged here in 1973 and the Alpine Skiing World Championships place in the Schladming-Dachstein region in 1982 and 2013. Being nestled between the grandiose south faces of the Dachstein and the Schladminger Tauern range, this town was made in 1322. Schladming can offer you countless skiing opportunities mixed with Styrian hospitality!

Ski Resort Location

Schladming is located in Austria (in the Steiermark region). Ski resort Schladming sits at the foot of Planai, one of four linked ski mountains. Schladming has a long skiing tradition: there are several other separate mountains nearby covered by the local lift pass – including Fageralm, Galsterbergalm, the Dachstein glacier, and Stoderzinken.

The same like many other mountain resorts, Schladming is a former mining settlement. It is located in the fabulous Enns valley between the Schladminger Tauern range (where the Schladming ski slopes are located) and facing the Dachstein range to the north. There are different accommodation options in Schladming. Schladming is a medium-sized town with a good selection of restaurants and bars. Travelers, which are looking for a quieter location, can always consider the smaller settlements of neighboring Haus im Ennstal and Rohrmoos.

  • Where the journey begins (your arrival airport)
  • The time of year and seasonal demand
  • Peak times during the day and week/weekend

In all instances, we work hard to keep our prices low and are relentlessly committed to total value for money. Which is why we guarantee you won’t find a better deal on your Schladming resort transfers, whatever your needs.
