La Norma is a cosy small village resort situated in the heart of the Vanoise mountain range, in the Savoie region of the French Alps. La Norma is a truly amazing family and pedestrian ski resort with wooden architecture, trees, and apartments at the foot of the slopes.

This typical French mountain village is a child-friendly resort with many adventurous activities in kindergarten (3 months - 4 years) and kids club (5 - 12 years).

Closest Train Stations to La Norma

Seasonal opening dates at La Norma are dependent on snow conditions, though are currently listed as follows:

Ski Resort Essentials

The resort of La Norma lies at an elevation of 1,350m, with a max vertical of 1400m and its highest lift going as far as 2,750m. There are a total of 27 pistes in the immediate vicinity of the resort, served by 19 ski lifts.

La Norma ski resort offers 65 km of downhill pistes. Around 29% of the slopes are ideal for beginners, 21,5% serve the needs of intermediates, 57% are good for advanced skiers and the remaining 21,5% are for experts. La Norma ski resort has its own Sports Club which owns a FIS authorised permanent slalom stadium on La Fontaine aux Oiseaux and has hosted major competitions including the French Military Championships and the French Surf Alpine Trophy.

The Maurienne Ski Pass allows you one day's skiing in a choice of 23 nearby resorts of the Maurienne Valley and with a ski pass of two days or more you can get away to the Trois Vallées, Vallee des Belleville or Val Thorens.

Family Friendly/Kids

La Norma holds the Famille Plus Montagne label and is a great base for families. Children Club Les Lutins welcomes kids from the age of 3 months up to 6 years and offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities, such as building snowmen, drawing, painting, and sledging. Once a week the children are taken up the gondola to bake a cake with Georges at the Eterlou high altitude restaurant.
