Journey Altitude

It’s important to remember that your journey from Geneva to Cervinia will take you to a very high altitude. This may present its own potential complications such as altitude sickness.

Geneva airport sits at 430m, while Cervinia sits at an altitude of 2000m. Some passengers can experience mild discomfort, such as nausea, headaches and dizziness can be symptoms of the change in air pressure. Young children are the ones most at risk of feeling unwell.

When you combine such air pressure change with steep, serpentine roads, the journey sometimes can be difficult. If necessary, ask your driver to lower the temperature in the vehicle to help you feel more comfortable.
