There are three possible transfer options for your route to Avoriaz.
The standard route takes you through Geneva to Bonneville and Cluses, before passing Morzine and arriving at Avoriaz.
The second option takes you from Geneva to Fillinges, then through Saint Jeoire-Taninges and Morzine.
As the A40 motorway gets congested during the weekend, the second route is often the best option.
The third route follows the south side of the stunning Lake Geneva.
All three routes take approximately the same amount of time from Geneva. Your driver will pick the best option based on the current circumstances, with safety as a top priority.

If you need to make a stop to a nearby supermarket or shop, simply ask the driver. Picking up some last-minute supplies is recommended, as prices at the resort will be much higher.
Travelling to high altitudes can make some passengers feel unwell, particularly younger ones. If you experience any symptoms, you can ask your driver to stop, adjust your seat or change the temperature.
The Avoriaz ski resort is recognised for its stunning landscapes and varied slopes. Its beauty has even attracted filmmakers from all around the world!
This purpose built resort has tons of activities for kids as well as events for the whole family, including a water park.
When you’ve finished skiing for the day, there are plenty of activities off the slopes too. Avoriaz has 35 restaurants, 11 bars, 4 discos and nightclubs, many shops and a cinema. There’s also a range of accommodation available, such as cosy chalets and hotels.
Avoriaz is positioned in the middle of the Port du Soleil ski area- the biggest in the Alps. Its pistes stretch for 650km.
It’s a car-free resort that has a ‘ski in - ski out’ layout. Your driver will drop you at the Prodains cable car which will take you to the centre of the resort.
Its south-facing position means there's guaranteed snowfall from December to April, making it one of Europe’s most snow-sure resorts.
There are some popular resorts near Avoriaz. The resort is about 30 minutes from Morzine and Les Gets, so you can also visit those ski areas.
