Hochkrimml Resort & Transfer Guide

The impressive plateau of Hochkrimml (also known as Gerlosplatte) is the first gateway to the famous Zillertal Arena from Salzburg. The skiing area “Zillertal Arena” is the largest skiing area of the beautiful Zillertal valley and extends from the village Zell im Zillertal via Gerlos to Wald-Königsleiten and Krimml-Hochkrimml. In recent years the Hochkrimml ski resort has become a real secret spot among skiers. The slopes are ideal for families and beginners. Hochkrimml is your perfect ski resort for unforgettable winter holidays!

Ski Resort Location

The ski resort Hochkrimml is located above the Krimmler community in the eastern part of the resort. The village itself is quieter than the neighboring Königsleiten. Mostly skiers and snowboarders choose to stay at Hochkrimml. Accommodations are relatively cheaper comparing to other ski resorts of “Zillertal Arena”. Besides, the village of Hochkrimml is a better starting position to reach the ski area. A wide selection of accommodation is available: cosy hotels, remote holiday homes, romantic huts, guesthouses, and farmhouses. In general, this is a pretty calm resort, although you will find something enjoyable in its bars and restaurants.

There are plenty of activities aside from skiing and boarding – tobogganing, cross country skiing, winter hiking, horse-drawn sleigh riding and many more. You will be impressed with fascinating Krimml Waterfalls – Europe’s largest waterfalls.
