Norway’s ski resorts spread across a much bigger map than the Alps, from Trysil, the country’s largest, near the Swedish border, to Voss and Stranda on the fjords further west, where you can ski with sea views. Fonna is a rarer option too, with glacier skiing above Odda that runs into early autumn. Snow tends to be reliable from December, and the terrain suits intermediate skiers more than experts hunting steep couloirs, though Stranda has serious off-piste for anyone who wants it.
