Route Details, Issues & Alternatives

The standard route from Geneva to Courchevel 1850 (around 150km) will usually take you through the town of Annecy. This route starts on the motorway (motorway route is 40km longer), heading towards Annecy /Albertville than continue with the drive along the shores of Lac d’annecy on route Albertville and then to the resort. This journey is shorter, with less traffic and offers beautiful views.

A second option would be to use the motorway via Chambery if there are extreme weather cases. That is more time consuming and also be aware of major traffic during the weekends. Always ask the driver about the best possible route.

A third option is La Clusaz route but we don’t recommend it. The road goes thru mountains and that why it is not the best option.
