On average, transfers from Grenoble to Courchevel will take around 2 hours 30 minutes, depending on the time and day you are travelling. Route Details, Issues & Alternatives

The standard route from Grenoble to Courchevel (178km) will usually take you via route A41. Take the route D119. Continue on to D119 towards A48, N87, A41, A43/E70 and N90 to Moutiers. From N90, take exit D915. On D915 and D91A head to your destination (Saint-Bon-Tarentaise). Always ask the driver about the best possible route.


 

What to Do En-Route

You don’t have to go straight to your ski destination. If you want to stop at any stage of the trip to stretch your legs or to have a cup of tea, we will be happy to assist you.

There are some supermarkets en-route to Courchevel. If you are feeling hungry on your way to the ski resort, you are welcome to choose a few snacks for the journey. Courchevel ski resort is one of the most expensive resorts in the Alps and prices there are very high. Products bought on the way to Courchevel are cheaper comparing to those found in the resort itself.

You should know that your journey from Grenoble airport to Courchevel will take you to a very high altitude. This presents its own potential complications.

Grenoble airport sits at almost 400m, the highest village of Courchevel is at 1850m. This journey can present some passengers with discomfort. Nausea, headaches and dizziness can be symptoms of the change in air pressure. Young children are often those at risk to feel unwell.

When you combine such air pressure change with steep, serpentine roads, the journey can be difficult for some people. If needed, ask your driver to lower the temperature in the vehicle to help you feel more comfortable.

The ski season in Courchevel starts in December and ends in late April, 35% of the skiable terrains are covered by man-made snow.

Nearby 3 Valleys ski resort is one of the largest in the world and is made up of three main villages: Val Thorens, Les Menuires and Saint-Martin de Belleville. 3 Valleys ski pass will give you access to around 600km of pistes, serviced by 180 ski lifts.
