What to Do En-Route

If you get hungry on the journey there are a few supermarkets en-route where you can find snacks and ski holiday essentials. Products bought on the way to Les Arcs can often be considerably cheaper compared to those found in the stores located within the resort.

Journey Altitude

It is important to remember that your journey will take you to a higher altitude. This may cause discomfort for some people as their body gets used to the change in pressure.

Grenoble airport sits at almost 400m, while the villages of Les Arcs 1950 and Les Arcs 2000 are situated at around 2000m. As a result, some people may experience symptoms such as nausea, headaches and dizziness. Young children can be especially prone to feeling unwell.

When you combine the air pressure change with steep, serpentine roads, the journey can become difficult for some people. If necessary, ask your driver to lower the temperature in the vehicle as this may help you reduce your discomfort.

Hopefully, the beautiful mountain scenery you see during the trip can be a form of distraction, and the perfect medicine for your discomfort.

How Much Will Your Transfer Cost?

At Alps2Alps, our main goal is to offer you amazing value transfers to all ski resorts in the Alps. We like to take a transparent approach to our pricing structure and we take a number of factors into consideration when calculating our prices.

These include:

  • Your journey

  • The number of people travelling

  • The day and time you travel

  • Any  available discounts

When calculating fares, we start with our standard price and then reduce this based on the factors mentioned above. This dynamic approach means we only ever reduce our prices and never increase them.

The transfer price may also be affected by vehicle availability, transfer schedule, vehicle utilisation and any other additional costs (such as road tolls and parking charges).

Midweek Transfers

If you want to lower your costs, avoid the crowds and spend less time stuck in traffic, we recommend that you travel in the middle of the week.  You’d be surprised - a midweek transfer can cut your costs by up to 60%! More discounts are available for travelling off-season and off-peak.
