Route Details, Issues & Alternatives

The standard route from Innsbruck to Laax (236 km) will usually take you via routes A12 and S16. Through Fürstenweg and Kranebitter Allee/B171, take the route A12/E533/E60 (Völs). Continue on the A12/E60. On S16, A14, A13 and E43 head towards Reichenau/Road 19 (Domat/EMS, Svizra). Follow the A13/E43 motorway towards Chur and exit at Reichenau (no. 18). Then take route 19 and you will reach our resort in around 30 minutes. Always ask the driver about the best possible route.

 

What to Do En-Route

You don’t have to go straight to your ski resort. If you wish to stop at any stage of the trip to stretch your legs or have a cup of coffee, we will happily accommodate this.

There are a few supermarkets en-route to Laax. You can buy some snacks for your journey and necessary ski holiday essentials. Sometimes products bought on the way to ski resort can be cheaper comparing to those found in the resort stores.

Journey Altitude

The highest point in the ski region – the Vorab glacier – reaches a height of 3018 meters. Laax is also one of Europe’s top spots for snowboarders, the resort has its own Freestyle Academy where athletes can train year round. 

In total there are four snow parks, 224 kilometres of slopes, and the biggest half pipe in the world. Laax has hosted some of the world's highest-level sports events in snowboarding and skiing, including the Burton European Open.
