Move on D12 and Tour du Bargy towards Route de Villavit/D4 (Le Grand-Bornand). Always ask the driver about the best possible way to get to the resort. If there is bad weather or snow, you should plan extra time for your transfer.

 

What to Do En-Route

It can be hard to spend hours staying seated. If you want to stop at any stage of the trip to get up and walk around to stretch your legs and get a few minutes in the fresh air, we will happily accommodate this. You always can ask your driver for a shortstop (up to 10 minutes), this will help you stay comfortable during the long trip.

There are many supermarkets en-route to Le Grand-Bornand. If you will get hungry on your way to the ski resort, you can choose there a few snacks for the journey. The resort is divided into 4 areas - Le Maroly, Le Chinaillon-Lachat, La Joyère and La Duche-Les Annes. First three areas are ideal for families and beginners. La Duche-Les Annes requires more experience so experts and advanced skiers are welcomed here. There is a snow-park for snowboarders - some may say that is one of the best snow parks in France. There are a total of 48 pistes in the immediate vicinity of the resort, served by 39 ski lifts.

The appropriate ski pass covers the neighbouring resorts of the Annecy Mountains ski area with 252km of downhill skiing, 172 individual pistes and 156 ski lifts accessible with a single pass. You can ski or snowboard in the other Lake Annecy Ski Resorts of La Clusaz, Manigod and Saint Jean de Sixt.
