The standard route from Bergamo Airport to Chatel (382km) will usually take you via routes A4/E64 and E25. Through SP116 and Via Aeroporto move to SS671 (Bergamo). On A4/E64, E25 and N205 move towards Route de Chamonix (Cluses, France). From A40 turn to exit 19. Move on D902 and D32 in the direction of D22(Châtel).

An alternative route will take you via route A4/E64  (344km). Through SP116 and Via Aeroporto move to SS671 (Bergamo). On A4/E64 and E25 move towards E27(Quart). From E25 turn to the exit Aosta Est. Move on SS27, T2 and E27 towards Road № 21 (Martigny-Combe, Svizra). On A9/E27/E62 move towards Route de Saint-Triphon (Ollon). From A9/E27/E62 turn to the exit 18-St-Triphon. Move on Route de Morgins, Route de Bas-Vièze and Route de France towards D22(Châtel, France). This route may be closed in case of heavy snow.

The third option will take you via route A9 (355km). Through SP116 and Via Aeroporto move to SS671 (Bergamo). Move on A4/E64, A8 and E62 towards SS33 (Mergozzo). Keep moving towards your destination (Ried-Brig, Svizra). On Kantonsstrasse/Road № 9, and A9 move towards Route de Saint-Triphon (Ollon). Move on Route de Morgins and Route de Bas-Vièze и Route de Franc towards D22 (Châtel, France). Always ask the driver about the best possible way to get to the resort. If there is bad weather or snow, you should plan extra time for your transfer.

 

What to Do En-Route

If you are feeling that you need to stop and stretch your legs or have a cup of coffee, ask your driver for a shortstop (up to 10 minutes).

There are many supermarkets on your way to Chatel. You can buy there some snacks for the journey, or your much needed ski holiday essentials before you get to the ski resort. Sometimes products bought on the way to ski resort can be cheaper compared to those found in the resort stores. Please note that all shop visits should be pre-booked with Customer Support prior to your arrival.

Journey Altitude

It’s important to understand that your journey from Bergamo Airport to Chatel ski resort will take you to a very high altitude. This can present its own potential complications.
