La Rosiere 1850 was developed in the 1961 and is lift linked with the nearby Italian resort of La Thuile. This small and quiet ski resort has outstanding sun exposure and is divided into two areas - La Rosière and Les Eucherts, which are connected by a short bus ride. La Rosière 1850 offers long, gentle and sunny slopes.

La Rosière is part of the Italian Espace San Bernardino ski area with its 160km of downhill skiing, with 77 individual pistes, served by 37 ski lifts. La Rosière 1850 is one of only two ski resorts in France with a ski–lift connection over the border to Italy. In addition to the skiing in La Rosière itself (35 pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Espace San Bernardo ski resort of La Thuile.

La Rosière 1850 has a Family Plus classification and is very popular as a place for families. Also, the resort has a great range of other activities: Snow Park, ice rink, bowling alley, SPA and cinema. Outdoor facilities include tobogganing, snowshoe hiking, dog sledding, paragliding and snowkiting.
