The direct route from Turin airport to Serre Chevalier (131km) will usually take you via routes SP24 and SS24. Head on Lato Partenze and SP2 in the direction of the RA10. Continue on RA10. Head for A55/E64, SP24, SS24 and N94 towards Route de Grenoble/D1091 (La Salle-les-Alpes, France). Your destination point will be on the right side. Always ask the driver about the best possible route. If there is bad weather or snow, simply add extra time for your transfer.

 

What to Do En-Route

You don’t have to go right to your ski resort. Ask your driver for a short stop (up to 10 minutes) - if you wish to stop at any stage of the transfer to stretch your legs or breathe a fresh air, we will happily accommodate this.

There are some supermarkets en-route to Serre Chevalier. You might get hungry during the journey; grab some snacks, food or other travel essentials. Sometimes products bought on the way to ski resort can be much cheaper comparing to those found in the resort stores. Serre Chevalier is nestled right in the middle of incredible nature in the "Les Ecrins" National Park with the 4102 m high "Dôme des Ecrins". You can enjoy fantastic views during your airport transfer. Make sure you have your camera ready!

Serre Chevalier is located in the southern part of the French Alps, between the medieval town of Briançon and the alpine spa village of Le Monêtier les Bains. The resort is made up of thirteen villages (three main ones). Serre Chevalier offers you 250km of pistes, 1600m vertical drop from Monêtier (2830m) to Briançon (1200m), nursery runs at village height for children and adults, and one of Europe’s largest thermal spas in alpine village Monêtier. The ski areas of Chantemerle (St. Chaffrey), Villeneuve (La Salle les Alpes) and Le Monêtier les Bains are linked by shuttle bus services, which are free to use with an appropriate guest or ski pass.

Serre Chevalier is famous for its sunshine record - more than 300 sunny days a year! Coupled with plenty of snow, it makes the resort one of the most popular winter destinations. Serre Chevalier is part of the Grande Galaxie ski area, which offers you 530km of downhill skiing, with 264 individual pistes, served by 151 ski lifts. Appropriate ski Lift pass will give you the access to ski or snowboard in the other Grande Galaxie ski resorts of La Grave, Les Deux Alpes and Puy Saint Vincent.
