Sauze D'Oulx is a ski resort in north Italy (province of Piedmont).
This ski resort is a part of the ski area of Via Lattea («Milky way»), which includes six more Italian resorts: Claviere, San Sicario, Sestriere, Cesana, Pragelato, Oulx and one French resort Montgenevre. It is considered the second largest resort in the region of Via Lattea.
Sauze D'Oulx itself is a small town with a beautiful historical centre. The place is more animated and democratic than Sestriere, so young people like to rest here.
Sauze D'Oulx is located in 90 kilometres from Turin, in the valley of the Val di Susa, at the foot of Monte Genevris (2,536 m).
Since the beginning of the 19th century, Sauze D'Oulx was the favourite place of the aristocracy of Turin, which had a weakness for the natural beauty of this place and for its famous winter resort of Sportinia. The resort has won a place of honour among the ski resorts of Piedmont, hosting the 2006 Winter Olympics. There were held freestyle competitions.
Sauze D'Oulx is still one of the most striking and interesting places in the mountain skiing in Italy.

There are few trails for the "pro" here: the northern wide slopes from the summit of Fraiteve (2701m) and the trails running from Moncrons (2507m). But for middle-class skiers, this resort is an ideal place: the "red" trails here are in abundance.
It will be difficult enough for skiing there for beginners on these slopes, but still, they will find some good trails for their ski-level in the area of skiing Clotes and P. Rocca.
In the 80s, the Sauze D'Oulx ski resort was extremely popular with the "golden youth" of the time, there were constantly noisy parties, discos and performances. Now the region is one of the quietest and tranquil resorts of the valley, which makes it a great place to relax with children.
